Joy is Irish, has family in Thailand, and has been running Daisy Chains in Ao Nang since it opened. She built the school around the idea that a small setting, where the adults know every child by name, is worth more than any policy document.

More of the team to come. Daisy Chains has teaching staff beyond Joy, and each of them should appear here with their training, experience and the languages they speak. Half the schools in Krabi claim “qualified Montessori educators” without naming a single qualification — being specific is worth doing.

Children stay with the same teacher for three years, which is long enough for that teacher to know precisely how each child learns.
