What to bring
Children here pour, paint, dig and swim. Dress them for a day that assumes they will get thoroughly involved in something.
Every day
- A bag your child can open and close themselves
- A full change of clothes — two for the youngest children
- A sun hat
- Sun cream, applied before school
- A water bottle they can manage alone
For nap and rest
- A small blanket or sheet
- Whatever comforter your child sleeps with
- A change of clothes if they are still in nappies
On activity days
- Swimming things and a towel on swimming days
- Clothes you do not mind getting painted, on art days
- An apron, if your child has a favourite
Please leave at home
- Toys from home — they cause more trouble than they are worth
- Sweets and snacks; meals are provided
- Anything precious or irreplaceable
Label everything. Every hat, bottle and blanket. Twenty children produce a remarkable quantity of unclaimed property by the end of a term.
